Today we're announcing our partnership with Microsoft to give our AI startups Azure credits and priority access to a cluster of ND A100 Azure VMs configured for model training and fine-tuning. If you're an AI startup who wants to take advantage of this deal, late applications to YC W24 are still open:

YC is apparently doing too much AI - I understand that AI is at the bleeding edge atm and naturally majority of the last 2 batches had been overly crowded around AI-enabled startup solving for efficiency in the current domain & tech. I might have sensed it wrong but I always thought - YC's essence was all about not following the fashionable and glittery thing but almost always around *Making something people want* and here - AI is just a enabler and a force multiplier, and not a solution to every problem in itself. My point above is not meant to negate the benefits of this Microsoft deal per say, but overall feeler!

Honestly, YC should be doing a separate accelerator just for AI startups. This way it doesn’t take away from other startups and you can fill your AI quota for investors.

Bravo! Microsoft is clearly looking to establish a lead in the AI space. We might need to start looking to move from AWS to Azure for our product: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h-5fGsfWu4w

Yes, this is a milestone for #AI startups, but is #YC now too fixated on AI as the panacea for all startup challenges now? AI is transformative, no doubt, but doesn't #innovation thrive on diversity? Being an #EdTech founder, I know AI does play a crucial role in #education, but true innovation isn't just about embracing the latest technology, it's about solving real problems in creative ways. Of course AI can provide incredible leverage, though I don't think it's wise to overlook #startups that drive change using other methods because AI isn't interlaced with their primary value proposition.

Congrats on great decision! We are not a Y Combinator Startup but as a Level4 Startup of Microsoft for Startups Founders Hub who had this opportunity, I can comment as thats the best investment that an AI Startup can get. ✅️

It's a great opportunity. We are also supported by Microsoft for Startups and the advantages are incredible. The early access to resources like GPT4 allowed us to build a great product fast. Big shout out to all founders: apply at Y Combinator. Our application is in! Even if you don't get in you learn a lot about yourself! Good luck to all founders out there!
