JSON Data Type and Aggregates Now Available in Azure SQL and SQL Server 2025 Preview
The JSON data type and two JSON aggregate functions, JSON_OBJECTAGG and JSON_ARRAYAGG, are now generally available. These features work in Azure SQL Database, Azure SQL Managed Instance with the Always-up-to-date policy, and SQL Server 2025 preview.
