Microsoft Releases Agent Framework 1.0 for .NET and Python

Microsoft has unveiled the first version of the new open-source Agent Framework. The project grew out of a prototype shown in October 2025, which combined the Semantic Kernel, orchestration ideas from AutoGen, and APIs for .NET and Python.
