Microsoft has started shipping Azure MCP tools directly inside Visual Studio 2022. The update continues a small pattern where features associated with Visual Studio 2026 quietly appear in the older IDE first. So far that list is short: several MCP management features and, outside the MCP category, the Copilot Profiler Agent.
